When they finally find Veruna and rescue him from captivity, they return back to Coruscant only to find that King Veruna has been executed by Palpatine in order to make her look weak during negotiations with the Separatists. Padmé becomes furious at Palpatine and leaves him for good.
Anakin finishes his training as a Jedi Knight and returns home to find that Padmé has left Tatooine for good. He follows her back to Coruscant where they are reunited with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu who have also returned from rescuing Veruna. They all fight against Palpatine together and eventually defeat him after a long battle
